Pipercross Intakes

Pipercross Induction Systems remove the restrictive factory airbox to offer the maximum possible airflow into the engine. All filters use Pipercross composite airflow technology and systems are only released for production when they are bench-flow tested and make an improvement in airflow performance. Pipercross induction sytems are highly recommended for optimum performance.

They directly replace the oem airbox and intake pipe, allowing an increase in flow over standard, up to 100 increase in some applications. Intakes also have an improved look over OEM and increase intake noise to improve your driving experience. These do not affect manufacturers warranty.

Why choose a foam filter?

To first understand why you should choose a foam filter, you will need to understand the main three different types of filter. Paper, cotton gauze and of course foam.

Paper Filters

You’ll find paper filters in almost every car from the factory, they are the OEM choice, partially down to price and partially as they do filter well enough. The holes in these filters can only be so wide and working out a fine balance between airflow and filtration in this media limits the potential due to its restrictive nature.

Paper filters are also a one-time use, due to the media used. They must also be replaced with each service as they quickly get blocked up and lose performance. For these reasons, although usually the cheapest option as a single product, over a span of years these filters end up being a lot more expensive.
